Rising to the challenge of operating in emerging markets, Expolanka Freight invests in Madagascar and Mauritius.

2005 - Expolanka restructures to establish a holding company and board of directors.

2011 - The company embarks on IPO on the Colombo Stock Exchange, and gets listed on the main board.
Acquires a 50% stake in Norfolk (Pvt) Ltd and a 50% stake in Akquasun Holidays, India.
Introduces luxury railway service Expo Rail.

2012 - Expolanka Freight rebrands as EFL and opens offices in USA, China and Hong Kong.

2013 - Fully owned subsidiaries Expolanka Commodities (Pvt) Ltd, Hello-Corp (Pvt) Ltd, Luxe Asia (Pvt) Ltd APIIT and Lanka Premier Foods (Pvt) Ltd are divested under the restructuring strategy.

2014 - SG Holdings acquires a 51% controlling stake in Expolanka Holdings PLC and appoints a new Board of Directors and Chairman.
Expolanka opens the Expo Global Distribution Center, Sri Lanka’s first duty-free zone Freeport warehouse.
Expolanka divests its stake in several companies in the international trade and manufacturing sector.

2015 - A state of the art logistics park of 100,000 square feet opened in Orugodawatte, Sri Lanka.
Expolanka Holdings divests investment in Neptune Papers (Pvt) Ltd.

2016 - SG Holdings acquires a further 16% stake in EH. EFL makes history by transporting cargo from India to Bangladesh via the BBIN Motor Vehicle Agreement.
EFL warehousing facility is accredited as Sri Lanka’s first LEED Gold certified warehouse.
Classic enters into partnership with Funtime.
