It was in 1990 that foundations were laid for the future SG Logistics, when Expolanka Freight acquired the Sri Lankan agency for the internationally renowned BAX Global. Expanding its operations in Sri Lanka, Bax Global became an Expolanka Company in its own right in 1999, with an exclusive office and workforce.
It was in 2006 that BAX Global was acquired by DB Schenker, the world leader in the provision of overall logistics solutions, locally represented by John Keells Holdings. SG Logistics took shape as the exclusive agency for the merged giants in 2007, providing flexible integrated solutions for logistics and transport, in collaboration with Schenker Logistics Group.
