Sajitha De Mel - Manager Sales and Marketing of UCL Logistics - a subsidiary of Expolanka Freight (Pvt.) Ltd., has been awarded the JCI HSBC Ten Outstanding Young Personnel of the Year award for Humanitarian and Voluntary Service.
Sajitha was lauded alongside the likes of Dr. Priyath B. Wickrama, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, recognized for his outstanding humanitarian and social work to the community. During the his past 7 years, as a social worker, Sajitha has been responsible for initiating and contributing to over 500 community service projects and is the youngest trustee for the 'Sight First Hospital' which will commence operations in February 2011.
