Global Recognition for Expolanka at 20th World Brand Congress

Wins Award for Social Marketing

Sri Lanka's diversified conglomerate Expolanka won international acclaim at the glittering 20th World Brand Excellence Awards Ceremony held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. It was bestowed with the prestigious Award for Social Marketing in recognition of its work carried out in the area of CSR.

Group CEO of Expolanka Holdings PLC, Hanif Yusoof said, "We at Expolanka are both delighted and deeply honored with this recognition where our efforts have been appreciated by a global jury consisting of an eminent panel of judges". He hailed this as "an endorsement of the Company credo doing business with the dare-to-do attitude, which extends to our CSR efforts too".

Among Expolanka's many CSR projects are ExpoMedix, a non-profit dispensary and surgery unit treating patients for common illnesses, disaster relief for flood and drought victims, health camps, paper recycling programmes, Earth Hour programmes for conserving energy, food drives to feed the poor, student welfare programmes with free scholarships, computers and school books, the building of houses, roadways, drainage facilities and mobile toilets in various parts of the country, to name a few.
