Expolanka was one of the first companies to venture into Jaffna at the end of the war. The CSR team contacted the mayor of Jaffna to identify what their most important requirements were. Clean sanitation infrastructure was identified as an urgent need.
Eight toilets compartments and two washrooms were provided to the Jaffna community. The mobile toilets were handed over to the Honourable Jaffna mayor Mrs. Yoga Pathgunaraja from a representative of Expolanka at the Jaffna Office.
As a result of this project, the basic human need of clean sanitation facilities is now available to the Jaffna community and to tourists visiting the area.
